Why should you care about my thoughts on the fast food industry?

I guess the best way to answer that is for you to get to know a little about me and my relationship with fast food. I love it. I've loved it ever since the first time I tried this thing called a French fry, experienced the wonders of Mexico with an Enchirito, and learned about the secrets of the eleven herbs and spices and was amazed at how it made chicken taste so good. Then when I was 15 I wanted a job but was too young to get my worker's permit. The only place that would hire me was the new Burger King on Tustin in Orange because they so desperate for workers. So now for more than 20 years I've been working in some aspect of the fast food industry from operations to marketing to R&D. It's been exciting and I'm still as passionate about the industry today as I was when I received my first paper crown at Burger King.

So if you have a passion for fast food or just curious about the industry, check back to this blog and join in the discussion. You'll learn things like what ever happened to the "Der" at Wienerschnitzel, what a "Grimace" actually is, and who invented the Pollo Bowl (hint - he now writes a blog).

Also, in each of my blogs I'll share with you the best places to find my favorite eats around our offices in downtown Santa Ana.

  1. For the best taquitos in the world, go to Taquerias Guadalajara on the corner of 4th and Spurgeon. Order the Taquitos with Guacamole and you'll experience a little bit of heaven on earth.

Enjoy and I'll write with you again soon.
